Career in brief

Howard's early management experience was in Marketing Research, which led on to a corporate strategic planning role. During time with British Gas he held a number of senior management roles in sales and general management, including a number of secondments to manage company wide projects. He managed the 'roll out' of a major change programme as the company restructured, removing levels of management/supervision to focus more effectively on the needs of a customer focused service industry.

In his work as a consultant and trainer he focuses on:
  • Aligning behavioural/cultural development within organisation change
  • Board Facilitation
  • Facilitating executives up to Board level
  • Leadership development
  • Team development - management teams, multi-disciplinary teams, project teams and multi-cultural teams.
  • Facilitating project managers and teams, and developing project management skills
Some recent assignments:
  • Facilitating an International conference of Senior Technologists
  • Delivering project management training and consultancy within a multi cultural environment
  • Developing a central services team targeted at reducing costs and raising service delivery standards
  • Facilitating two Board teams to develop a ‘partnership’ working relationship between their respective organisations
  • Steering the development of an effective team working culture following a company acquisition
