Try out our interactive checklist for assessing your organisation's capability to change. This is a checklist you can use to assess the readiness and capability of your organisation to achieve sustainable change.
Early on in the process, when understanding the present situation, one needs to know whether there is a risk that you may 'bite off more than you can chew' in terms of the scale and nature of the changes you have in mind. Here are ten areas to explore, which will help to gauge how capable the organisation actually is.
The checklist can be used in either of two ways:
- As a checklist to aid you as you ask questions of your colleagues and customers, and rating the answers for each of the questions.
- As a group exercise involving some senior colleagues who are to be involved in the change project. In this case it is recommended that each participant scores the checklist. The results are then collected together and areas of great unanimity are recognised, areas of the greatest diversity are discussed until a group consensus is reached.
