Opportunity North East (ONE) is the private sector catalyst whose core purpose is to diversify north east Scotland's economy in order to transform the region.ONE works with regional and national partners to deliver game changing projects that accelerate entrepreneurial growth, innovation and increase productivity. The team helps foster the entrepreneurial environment in the region’s key sectors of digital tech; food, drink, and agriculture; life sciences and tourism. Purpose...

Coverdale has worked with ONE since 2018. The CEO, Jennifer Craw, had previously experienced Coverdale’s Systematic Approach and their impactful experiential coaching methods. She approached Coverdale to support ONE’s ambition by enabling the growing team to harness a common language and a method of working together, in order to optimise collaboration and efficiency.

Approach...

Working closely with the ONE team, Coverdale designed and delivered a tailored programme, with a Systematic Approach to getting things done at the heart of the skill development journey. Through a sequence of workshops (with zero PowerPoint slides) Coverdale Coaches worked side by side with the ONE team to develop skills in working together with clarity, focus and alignment. Since the first programme in 2018, it has been Coverdale’s privilege to support the team with online workshops through the pandemic, and back in person in 2023 at the inspiring ONE TechHub and ONE BioHub facilities in Aberdeen.

Impact...

The compound result has enabled everyone to simply work more effectively together – and with their partners – as they develop and deliver transformational projects across north east Scotland. Using a Systematic Approach has also enabled them to better harness the experience, knowledge and skills everyone brings to the team. We look forward to our continued partnership with ONE, supporting the team in optimising contributions as they go about transforming the region.
